Yea,pretty much another horrible outfit that 95% wont ever use.

If i knew, that the majority of
the outfits in Shadow are tribal outfits, that i am even forced to wear in a huge percentage of the game, i would have seriously considered buying the season pass.
But then if i knew that the DLC-s are this low effort jokes, then i flat out wouldnt have bought the pass at all.

They should at least make 1 outfit which gives us the classic outfit with modern graphics.A lot of people are looking forward to it.
I would want a DLC where Sam and Reyes appear as well. This 2 thing could salvage a lot in this game and would properly close the trilogy. Tying up loose ends and paying a tribute to Core Design's legacy.

Asking for something that was part of Tomb Raider for more than 20 years dosn't mean we want to fap. Low graphic outfits are a nice gesture and good for a laugh, but VERY and i mean VERY immersion breaking, Lara being in shorts is not immersion breaking,it never was,not in one Tomb Raider so far, hell she even ran around in shorts in Tibet...
We dont ask for a remade outfit of her blue bath tunic from TR2,neither the bikini from Legend, we ask for a totally normal outfit, which made Lara iconic in the first place.

Imagine if Half life 3 comes out (in around year 2456) and Gordon just flat out shave his head and facial hair and dress up in some native american clothes in the first 10 minutes of the game and starts using a bow. And then the developers just give an old graphic version of his outfit.
"This is Gordon now, accept it or you are just a hater."

That is exactly how it feels right now for us.

They need to roll out these outfits because all DLC content is accessible from Patiti and you cant dress fashonably there. Shame.

That is another useless restriction in the game, the only time the outfit should be restricted in paititi is when u need to wear that ugly green outfit with the mask.

Wrong.

The Forge is in Kuwaq Yaku.

What would happen to the Patiti natives if they saw Lara in modern clothing? Would their brains implode?

For some reason you can wear the main costume for this game in Paititi as long as you put a leopard skin on it.

Why is that a thing? I have absolutely no idea.

How come she’s just wearing her normal clothes in the ending cutscene when she’s walking around with Jonah and Etzli? I have no idea.

The devs just hate the fans. It’s really that clear. This entire game just is made with so much hatred for its fan base and I really don’t fathom it.... it’s so bizarre.

You would think by now they would have seen the DLC outfit hate, their Instagram was full of comments asking for better outfits.
How hard can it be to add an option to the settings "Allow story breaking outfits" ?

If they made their codings in a competent way, then its probably childs play to allow an outfit in Paititi.
All outfit probably have an attribute wether they are allowed in Paititi or not, if they are allowed they belong to category 1(rebels) or 2(trinity).

Not listening to the feedback regarding this forced outfit thing, is just them being stubborn, plain and simple.
Same with not remaking the classic outfit.
Hell even Blizzard(which saw better days), listens to player feedback more than these devs.
Its like they decided how they want to do everything and they refuse to change it,dosnt matter how everything collapses around them.

I think the idea in Paititi is that it is an isolated culture and she is trying to be sensitive to the fact that the people there have no experience of modern clothes or weapons. She wears the cultist outfit as a disguise and the reasoing there is obvious. Plus you can wear her stock outfit so long as you customise it a little with some animal skins.

I think the idea that these outfits exist only because of social justice is very unnuanced . No doubt that has some effect on how designers, not just SE but pretty much all devs nowadays, approach clothing their characters. The outrage culture is ready to jump on anything nowadays and companies probably don't want the hassle. Her stock outfit is still pretty sexy, not a lot is left to the imagination - which I am all in favour of.

Like I said there could be a good narrative based reason for this animal skin evening gown but I would like to see some more modern kits in future.

yet another ugly outfit, lol.

but what's the point of new outfit? you can't even wear it in the half of the game.
they need to remove outfit restriction first.
