Raytracing option is greyed out (solved)
I can't turn on Raytracing because the option is greyed out, the dlss works.
Anyone have any ideas?

The solution was posted by Zed, thank you very much

its something you dont want on as it will kill your fps. Maybe wait a few years when they make the feature cheaper for fps and money cost.

Thank you Zed for helping me so quickly.
The problem was the Windows 10 update
Have a nice day.

Ps. markdb92: It surely will kill Fps but not to a piont where it's unplayable
Have an opposite issue. DLSS is gray, rtx shadows and other stuff is fine :steamfacepalm: rtx 2080

Your resolution needs to be above 1920x1080 for DLSS to be usable.

I think its because you need to be using a 4k monitor with the 2080 for the DLSS to work. I know this is the case for the 2080 Ti..... I have this issue because im running a 1440p monitor and it wont work for me either. (which sucks!!)

Works fine for me at 1440. You sure you've actually got it set to 1440?

I don't know why you should need a 4K monitor to make DLSS work when using a RTX 2080

You don't. You just need to be above 1920x1080.

Yes im sure i have it set up at 1440p . are you sure you have it working for your 1440p ? Look at this link its just one of many saying the same thing DLSS wont work on 1440p monitor with a 2080Ti https://forums.geforce.com/default/topic/1098448/geforce-rtx-20-series/rtx-2080-ti-not-able-to-use-dlss-on-1080p-and-1440p/ IF you have it working then maybe you have the RTX 2080 and NOT the RTX 2080Ti card which is what i have??

Odd. Makes no sense that it'd be restricted to 4k on a 2080 Ti. And, yes, I have a non-ti 2080.

HA OK I have a bit of an update! Just now i had the newest Nvidia drivers come through et Voila DLSS now works in this game (and probably others too) with a 1440p monitor using a 2080Ti. And boy dose it boost the frames!! Im get in nineties with everything maxed out, even Ray-tracing maxed out and it looks beautiful!!

Congratulations...you are now a tech nerd.Sorry...we ran out of medals last week tho.

Adding to the list of things to beware of:

AMD FidelityFX CAS and NVIDIA RTX DLSS is mutually exclusive. Disable one in order to enable the other.
