Is there some sort of "memory leak"?
Everytime I playing this game for long time, like an hour or so, the game starts to shutter with increasingly frame drops till it crashes. The only way of fixing it is to restart the game.
Am I the only one?

Sounds like a processor overheating issue, have you checked that?

i7 4790k (4.6Ghz)
32Gb DDR3
1080 Ti
Samsung SSD

Neither cpu or gpu rise above 60% usage

Check temps. You are running a little OC with the chip and it sounds like your getting the chip to hot.

Turn off background stuff. Go into Windows 10 Game Mode. I see your using DDR3. Might be time for an upgrade to DDR4.

I thought you could not replace DDR3 with DDR4 without changing MB, 4 does not fir in DDR3 slots. Or am I wrong?

Right you can't. Motherboards are cheap enough these days. I was getting stuttering bad until I switched to a DDR4 setup with MSI gaming plus MB, 16gb 3466 DDR4 and a 2700X CPU now no problems and getting 100fps+. My video card is less than yours. I have a 1080 Duke 8GB OC.

I believe so. I have the same problem (doesn't crash though, just stutters and grinds). For me it happens after 2+ hours I think. Maybe it's because I only have 8GB of ram (and 8gb of vram).

Yep that's it. I switched from Win 7 to 10 as well. Sure looks good w/DX12.

TR works best under Win 10 and DX12. Oh BTW I'm using a AMD r9 380 4gb V-ram, 16gb on the MB. But the DDR3 is holding up well, no lag or FPS drop''s.

I'm on DX12 too though. I can tell by the artifacts in certain menus. :Eagle_Eye:

DDR 3/4 would not make him crash. In theory ofcourse DDR 4 is going to give him better performance but him just leaving it on and then after a while it crashes sounds more like a heating issue. I would download software and keep an eye out for my temps if it was me.

" So yeah man just upgrade your whole setup except for your case and gpu and you're good dawg"
