Mission of San Juan collectables bug

I've looked around and it seems this was being talked about back in September 2018 but I cant seem to find a solution so I apologise if its simple and I'm just blind!

On the Mission of San Juan map I am at 25/27 documents and 8/9 relics, however when I count the greyed out ones on my map I have apparently collected 27 and 9. I'm a bit of a completionist and this is almost causing me physical pain lol

I should probably also add in regards to story progression I am back in Paititi just doing one more side mission there before getting to the "no turning back" warning.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Many people have encountered the same problem you have with this game. Fortunately for me, I've never had to put up with this type of bug that hinders completion, so I suppose I can consider myself lucky.

Having said that, I do feel your pain, as I too would be frustrated if I were in a similar situation.

"Verify game files" from the Properties of the game in your game-list library. Not sure if that would do anything...

The other thing I can think of is... Hopefully you've made game saves periodically. Maybe there's a save file you can load up, that starts just before you collected the "bugged" collectables in San Juan?

Hopefully you'll find a solution to your predicament soon.

There is at least one post that I know of where this is discussed in depth. You can try searching this forum (general) for "san juan bug" as there may be a solution to this "bug."
Also, try exiting the game without saving, exiting steam, restart computer (clearing cache(s), etc.), restart steam, etc. which might clear the bug. This is the usual solution to an anomalie in this series of games.
If you cannot find a solution that works and the restart of the game doesn't work either, I'm afraid you will have to start another game in order to get your 100%.

i was at everything collected but 4 "missing" and completely closed out the game. after restart they were all counted giving me that 100% i needed

Your trick works like a Charm, just quit the game and the game client (Epic/Steam) and the next time you play the game it will be counted. Thank you very much for your help.

this should be pinned, happened to me as well.
Yesterday I went to San juan after completing all the other zones
at some point I started counting the unveiled and greyed out map items just to realize I already collected 9 relics despite the game saying I only got 8/9
For Murals it was similar, all 4 of them unveiled and greyed out on the map but game saying only 3/4 collected.
Then i just tunred off my PC and when I booted into the game today the Dr. Croft Achievement poped imediately and the map now says 100% completed.
