Jaguar fight
So i'm pushing the L stick from side to side like crazy and every time the jaguar bites me in the neck and ends the game. What am I missing?

I don't really know about this bug but have you tried enabling QTE helper in the Gameplay Option menu?

It is called "Repeated Button Presses" - change this to "Hold". But I'm not sure, if it will affect these QTEs.

It's your timing that's getting you dead. When you enter those QTE type conflicts there are 2 different commands you use when the circle appears 1. is the interact key, 2. is the melee key, when that highlites, press the button.

no worries!
I went out and started it using the keyboard/mouse. It was an easy fight with the A/D keys. It just wasn't recognizing my controller for some reason.

I think timing matters. Fighting the Nahual I was mashing the buttons like a lunatic and got killed four times. When I tried a bit slower, got it easy. Bear in mind, it's random whether you'll have to push interact or melee.

Nah it was some kind of glitch with it no recognizing my controller at all.

If that kiddie toy (controller) is getting in the way, disable it from the windows control panel. A game that use's both will often time's conflict. By disabling it, I'll bet most if not all your problems n issue's will be gone.

I ran into the same bug on PC (keyboard+mouse); mashing A/D failed no matter the timing and I ended up dead (and increasingly frustrated) a dozen times over.

What solved it was rebinding left-right from A-D to a different set of keys (<-- and --> for me). That did register and I easily passed the encounter. This is the only QTE in the game where I've run into this issue, so I suspect it's a bug in the game.

I know this thread is old, but ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I can't get around this! I've Tried going fast, slow, in perfect time with the A D prompt, using a different keyboard, loading saves, validating game files, re-mapping keys, and enabling hold instead of tap in the settings. NOTHING works, no matter what I do Laura still gets chomped. I've died 30+ times at this point. Any advice is very welcome. Thanks.

Yes I just did that fight and was having same problem.

Just keep dodging using C just before it strikes and also jumping.

Keep pulling your arrows to full(red) and hitting jaguar, keep using F1 for health, there are even a couple of trees you can run up and get a few free shots away. After about six or seven arrows on target it drops. Beats getting jaws in Lara's face.

Yeah my issue is less the actual fight and more the quick time event at the start. I get the button mash prompt (A & D)but not the next one. I just get insta killed before the fight can even start. I tried spamming C after the AD prompt goes away and nothing different happened. I'm not sure what is the issue honestly, I might just have to give up at this point.

If I've understood correctly. The fight starts as soon as Lara is dragged backwards. She fires the flare and the fight starts. Only after I'd fired several arrows and been scratched a few times the jaguar jumps on Lara and then you get the AD prompt(which doesn't seem to work).

It was only when I read this thread that I realised the AD was doing nothing.

But I'm suggesting you kill the jaguar with arrows, use the C and don't let the jaguar get to that point, where it's in Lara's face.

Honestly it was driving me crazy, after being killed numerous times.
