Small question regarding DLC challenge tombs !!!
Hello, i started playing SOTR with all DLC's installed. What I started noticing that the game became easier for me due to all the extra weapons you get from the DLC. So, I decided to restart the game with only the base game files and removed all DLC weapons and outfits.

My question was regarding the challenge tombs which you get with the DLC. I wanted to complete them so i wanted to ask, are they included in the main storyline as extra tombs in the map? Or do I have to play them seperately from the main menu? Thanks :)

If you only checked the content with the maps, they each unlock at a different point in the game. But you must enter the hidden city for the 1st one. Then as you travel thru the game another will unlock then another and so on. They add some small amount of back story to the game, but in no way impact it's outcome. You earn 1-2 skill points per DLC map that can help when upgrading skills, depending on size. They each have a puzzle and/or challange to overcome and may be alittle harder to solve then the base itself. Start a new game and work your way to the hidden city and the Forge will unlock for you. At that point you will know what to do.

Does this help clear the way for you to proceed.

If you uncheck all the DLC's, then all you will have is the base game itself. All added content will be removed. The maps, outfits, and weapons, are "standalone's" and as such play no part in the base game.

Now, I said "all", the point here is, you see 1 of the same weapon n outfits that are part of the "gear paks" for those people who don't want to play any of the standalone maps. Keep them in place and use that. Or remove them also and only the base game remains.

I think that covers your question. Or do you have another?

I did exactly did. I unchecked all the boxes and all the add on content was removed except for the base game. Now i checked the boxes which contained the challenge tombs only because i wanted to play them.

My only query was that do the challenge tombs integrate themselves into the base game's story as additonal tombs on a particular map or do they play separately from the main story? Do they increase the exploration part of the base game or are they separate from it? Thanks :)

Thanks that clears a lot of my issue :) one more thing. When i install the challenge tomb DLC i automatically see certain costumes and some new bows in my inventory, on reading the store page it says that these rewards are accessible when i complete that challenge tomb. However, i already have access to them in my inventory, is there any way to remove those extra weapons and outfits while still keeping the dlc tombs in the main game so that it only rewards me when i complete them?

Yeah, I don't know why that is, that extra stuff comes with the gear paks and in the map paks. So you either remove it all or leave it as is. There is nothing special about the added content.

If you didn't know they were there, you could do the same things with just the base game items. Don't read too much into it. There just an expantion to the game.

If you need help solving the puzzles, find me.

Thank you so much for the detailed explanation. It really helped me a lot. I'm pretending that those extra stuff is not even there in the game lol. I have sent you a friend invite :)
