Flooded Crypt near Prison

So, in the Hidden City there's a hidden crypt near the prison. Where you go left instead of going right near the 3rd Dunkin' Bones skeleton. You enter the crypt, go down and down and then you come to a barred gate. You press a lever and the crypt floods. At that point you're supposed to continue thru the gate and do whatever you do. However, I'd noticed earlier some jade and gold in a wall I couldn't reach, so I thought, 'cool, I can get to that now'. So I jumped into the water, swam back to the start and sure enough I could get to it. Only problem is that upon returning to the gate, there's no way to get out of the water. So how do I complete the crypt?

If I get the one you're thinking of, you should search for a destructible wall underwater. It's not the only place where you'll have to do that btw

I went back to an earlier save, only losing about 30 minutes of work. Once inside the final room, I looked around. There was no other way inside there. So if you decide to jump into the water before opening the sarcophagus, hope you have a recent save.

Can you take a screenshot from the location you're in? I've explored all crypts in Hidden City and could return from all of them just fine. There might be a detail you're missing somewhere, like a climbable wall perhaps?

Already finished the game and moved on to Borderlands 3. I tried for maybe 10 minutes to climb up out of the water, using every surface I could find. The first screen here is the location of the crypt. It's where you get the war vest. The second is the best I could do, pulling it from a youtube video.
