isnt it possible to purchase the base game or does it have to be the definitive edition only with 3 dlc bringing the price up to 60 euros (with bundle discount included)?

For info though, regardless of where you buy it will still show on steam as the definitive edition, however you will own only the game, without any DLC.

i cant even find "just" the definitive version for sale on steam. i find it bundled with the dlc and all sold together.

The definitive edition is the bundle.

If you want only the game with no dlc, you have to buy it off of steam.

Look for resellers that are selling Shadow of the tomb raider with no mention of definitive edition in the title.

You think you want the base game only but, trust me, depending on how you'll feel about the side content, you might end up regretting not buying the Definitive Edition.

The current form is literally how the game should have been released back in 2018.
Look around for a discount key for the DE or wait for the next Steam Sales.

What's odd is by doing whatever they did, it now says I own the definitive edition on the store page even though I don't, which is annoying and confusing.
