Survival Instinct annoying sound

Is there a way to disable the sound effect when pressing Survival Instinct key? It's extremely annoying!

Play on deadly obsession difficulty. It disables the whole button forcing you to get used to not spamming it.

If you don't want to play on deadly obsession (that difficulty setting has poorly designed save system), you can still disable it from the "Gameplay" menu in pause screen.

I wouldn't say the.save system is poorly designed. But.it sucks when Lara decides to catapult herself out in a random direction and suicide.
Have to know what you are doing to prevent that.

I just reduced the bass in sound blaster settings and it became more bearable.

Oh so your not using 5.1 then if your SBC is like mine what are you using? headphones or stereo? The survival instincts should not sound bassy but if your using headphones def going to be different than me using 5.1. Im using logitech z906 5.1 and sound blasterx ae-5 btw.

I'm using ae-5 as well. I was using bass redirection. Once I disabled it, the annoying effect was gone.

You all must not be very deep in the game. Those sounds are not all that harsh. The drag and major problem is (and this happens alot during play-thru's), it's Jonah calling her on the radio when your right in the middle of climbing a rock face, or moving in a positive direction knowing you going the correct way when Bam, there he is again, stoping the flow of the game. Now she goes into a very slow walk and your stuck listening to that fat whine baby. By the time I reach san juan, I wish I could shoot him or just drop a ronk on his head. Thats what annoying is..
