Kuwaq Yaku Gate Pillar Turning Bug - Can't Progress
There's a visual bug with the turning pillars symbolizing dates at the Gate of Kuwaq Yaku where they do no t turn. I've seen similar posts and people have suggested turning down the refresh rate and going from direct x 12 to direct x 11 and neither of those things helped. When I turn the crank, the pillars do not move no matter what direction/speed I go. Not sure what else I can do, my game seems stuck at the moment. Please help.

There is also the suggestion that you turn your resolution from its current position to 800x600 and that it works very well.

Turn the V-sync on/off. this worked for manny others.

Ok thanks, i'll give those suggestions a shot. Why hasn't this gotten patched yet? This came out a while ago - has this bug not gotten enough attention because it affects mainly high end rigs? I would guess that most people who are attracted to games like tomb raider are the "max settings" crowd as opposed to the FPS "min settings" bunch.

That worked - I lowered my resolution to 800 x 600, turned off directx12, turned on vsync, lowered my framerate to 60, set overall graphics to the lowest settings, and if I look at the screen with only 1 eye it works, the pillar turns. Thanks for the help.

it's that "squinty" eyed look that gets it done...lol

Thank you so much for sharing how you could circumvent this problem.
I made a screenshot of my config, as you have to do it this way and not ingame.

Hello gamers !

I believe you only have to turn off DX12 to unstuck the pillars (and restart the game as required), at least it worked for me with all others settings untouched (2560x1440, Exclusive Full Screen, V-Sync off, max resolution scale, max quality settings. Playing with an AMD 6800XT graphic card)...

Limit framerate to 60 fps and try... playing the game at higher framerate seems to cause issues

I'm currently running Nvidia 3080 and I've turned down and off everything suggested on this chain of suggestions, but nothing seem to work. Can someone please let me know what else I can do?

Same issue, RTX 2080 SUPER, changed graphics to lowest, resolution 800x600, direct x 12 off, DLS on/off. Nothing working for me, Very frustrating they can't fix a bug in 4 years.

Turning fullscreen off worked for me...dumb.

Ugh. I am having this same issue and cannot progress.

I have toggled pretty much every possible setting listed above and then some including the exact settings that @And3 suggests. I have set all settings to the lowest possible values, I have raised everything to the max, I have tried different monitors, different versions of DirectX, etc.

Nothing is working for me.

My rig in case this is relevant:
Nvidia GeForce RTX 3080
AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor

I tried it again with FPS at 60Hz and Vsync on and I was finally able to move the pillars. Yay!

Thanks for the info guys. Game On!

Turning off full screen is what worked for me.

I just came here to say that if you are using NVidia video card to limit the Max Frame Rate to 30. That worked for me.

Yes, this bug never got patched lmao. Square Enix QA at it's best.
