I honestly expected those sites to focus on that aspect rather than criticizing the game for it.
I don't think the writers want you to agree with what you see and the things you make Lara do.
Not every product of fiction needs to reflect what , according to the authors, is right , and not every single one of the protagonist's actions are supposed to be positive.
Sure, we can discuss all we want about the direction the series has taken compared to the simple "badass lady on a journey for artifacts" of the old games, but to me it looks like, when it comes to fiction, certain sites don't seem to get the message unless every single "positive" character is and acts the way they think it's "right". it's almost like the want that product to spoon them with the same specific checklist of values with no variations allowed. which is, from an author's prespective, kinda narrow minded and boring.
