Equip silencer

Anopther stupid question because the game does not make this clear, I have bought a silencer, how do I equip it?

Rise style: automatically equipped and you can't take 'em away.

same goes with rifle scopes and stuff.

If it equps automatically then it is not particularly silent as I have just fired the weapon , but perhaps it should be the other pistol I have in my inventory?

Some equips are done when you go to a camp site. There you can improve weapons, travel to different campsites and change uniforms.

It only works on 2 pistols which is also clearly stated in the description for the silencer when you bought it.

Check the handguns, only some of them will state the suppressor is equiped on it.

yep, it equips automatically but it seems to affect certain pistols only. Also I hit a situation where I shot one of the "heavy guards" in the head - I killed him but the sound of hitting his helmet (like kicking an empty can) attracted the entire camp and they killed me - so the silencer didn't helped a lot :)

Check the pistol attachments at a base camp. Not all pistols can take the silencer.

Omg i had a silencer on the first pistol then uprgaded it by accident now the silener is nowhere to be found and can't buy another one....really?....1800 $ lost...

The silencer is auto equipped once purchased.
It applies to all semi-auto pistols but does NOT apply to all revolvers.
It also applies to all rifles (long arms).
Upgrading does not make the silencer "disappear."
In the "real" world there is no such thing as a silencer; they are called suppressors.

Well whatever i shot the pistol and it stills sound silenced but the silencer is replaced by the compensator? wich makes the fire muzzle flash appear further ahead of the gun..lol

I went in-game to make sure before answering you. My game is the English verion (US region) and my weapons' read "silencer" as being 1 of 2 attachments.
Compensator? I wonder if this is a translation for the english word "silencer?"
My only reading/written language is English.

ahha...i'll check to make sure however, that's not where you check to see if the silencer is attached. Checked. The only compensator I could find was the ergonomic grip which helps with the recoil of the weapon(s).
When you fire a weapon in real life, there is recoil from the bullet being force from the weapon through the barrel. That action is called "recoil."
