Stuck Trying to Reach Unuratu in Prison.
NOTE: Keyboard and Mouse.

On my way to rescuing Unuratu on the prison island, I have to rapel-jump from one surface to another. I know this is a piece of cake for everyone else, but I simply cannot launch Lara with enough movement to reach the second wall. Every time I click the release key, she stops moving and drops like a stone into the river.

I assume I'm supposed to launch the grappel axe immediately after rapel release, but after dozens of attempts I just don't know what I'm supposed to do.

Has anyone had the same problem? If so, please tell me what to do.

Center the camera on the ceiling where you need to land.

Thanks for your reply. Sadly, the problem persists. I'm not sure I understand exactly what you mean regarding the camera angle - is it something I change in the Options?

No matter where I direct the camera (or move the mouse), whenever I press the rapel-release key, she simply stops moving no matter how much momentum I generate by running back and forth.

Is it simply a question of timing? I know from earlier games (TR 2013) that there seems to be a 'magical sweet spot' which causes me endless frustration.

UPDATE: Problem solved!

It turns out I was overthinking the whole thing - I'm supposed to use the Vault key and NOT the rapel-release key.

All the same, thanks.
