Whats the playtime like on this game?
I just wanted to know how long the main story takes to complete on this game, on the last ones i had 9 & 20 hours so if its the same then I'll wait for a sale to buy it.

Thanks :)

Its decent playtime if a bit repetitive and boring.

I hear it runs about 25 hours, though a 100% playthrough took at least one guy 36 hours. To me, that seems like the right length for a game such as this - long enough to have some variety in your tombs and puzzles, as well as tell a good story, while not so long as to get repetitive and boring.

I find the game's many cinematic cutscenes go a long way toward keeping it from getting dull.

No because the removed all the open world out of the game and the combat. So its all cutscenes and puzzles

They caved to crybabies who seem to think the originals had no combat when indeed they had lots.

I started playing at 11:30am on the 12th until about 3am on the 13th, then picked it back up at about 9am and ran until about 3pm. I ended up with 97% completion due to two secondary targets I couldn't find.

So 22 hours, but factoring in regular breaks anywhere from 5 minutes to at least 45 minutes to cook and eat dinner, it's less than 20 hours total, probably between 10 and 15 if you do a non-stop marathon session.

Then again, that's also with all the backtracking you have to do in order to find all the stuff and get to the areas you couldn't get to the first time because you didn't have whatever gear for it, as usual. Also I did all of the side quests. Just chasing the main story, non-stop, I'd say it'd take about 8 hours.

I don't expect a game like this to have 40 hours of gameplay. RPGs, even as much as Skyrim could be considered an RPG, maybe, but platforming games just don't have the content to support that much play time. If it were open world, and not guided by wire, then I could see it.

Actually they completely ignored those of us who said "if it's going to have gunplay, we want the acrobatic gunplay like the originals had, otherwise it's just another shooter".

Unfortunately, they caved in to the whners who wanted Call of Doodie with t!ts.

If I wanted to play Call of Doodie, I'd play Call of Doodie. I don't want "realistic" gunplay in Tomb Raider. I want flips and cartwheels and diving slo-mo with dual pistols, because that's what made the combat in the originals entertaining.

I did 70% in 20 hours, but explored and collected a lot plus doing all side quests and talked to everyone to reveal tombs and secrets, so its decent after that its new game+

you can probably rush the game in less than 4 hours if you just do all the main quest and skipp everything, but if you want to enjoy and explore, do side quests and tombs. then its around 20h. completing 100% takes longer than that
You can always play on Deadly Obsessive difficulty if you want more hours. That will add dozens of hours even if you will do only main story. Because you will have to replay big and long chunks of game. And if you will go to 100% completion on Dedly Obsessive WITHOUT using any guides / help, then game is well over 30h.

It took me about 11 hours to finish the main story, without side quests and some exploring. The story is not very long, but there's a lot to explore. I'm not done yet.
