No sound for voices!!!

First the gamepad and now after setting a new template their is no sound for the voices help!!

Check your speaker settings in Windows.

all other games and sounds working perfectly, including youtube and other steam games, music is fine just know voices for charcters

i have same problem in the fmv's , not sure yet

This is commonly caused if a game is outputting surround sound through stereo speakers. (Voices come through the central speaker, which a stereo setup doesn't have.) Check your Windows audio settings to see if they're set to stereo.

Same problem for me. 5.1 Speaker Setting with 5.1 Speakers. Works most of the time and then from time to time no voices...

i have Win7 64bit with Realtek HD Audio-Manager, it seems to need a system restart if it wasnt set to stereo. when i just restart shadow of tomb raider it has no effect or create other sound bug noises like creak.

in the windows option for the speaker i found this option as well, like stereo, 5.1, 7.1 , i guess must reset to stereo as well and then restart system/windows/your-os

edit: iirc sometimes the windows audio got changed by the realtek settings but not sure for all applications like a game

For windows 10: Right click on the sound icon on the task bar. Make sure that "Spacial Sound (Windows Sonic for Headphones)" is checked and enabled. This fixed the problem for me.

This is what support sent me and it worked.

Please try deleting the Preferences file to ensure the game launches with clean preferences:

Launch the game to the pre-game Options window
On the Support tab, click the Open Preferences Folder button
Now, close the pre-game options window before continuing
In the newly opened window, please look for a file named Preferences and drag the file to the Trash
Relaunch the game

If you are not seeing the pre-game Options window, please navigate to the following location and delete the file there:

~/.local/share/feral-interactive/Shadow of the Tomb Raider


Note: This is solution is for linux. Not sure about windows.

Exactly what happens to me, but I'm on Linux.

It didn't happen when I played the game in pt-br. Finished it, and started again in English, and there is the problem. Works fine except that from time to time, no voices and sounds from Lara.
