Where’s VXAO?
I read somewhere there was VXAO in this game as AO solution but I can’t seem to find it either with dx11 or dx12 selected. Anyone knows where or how to activate VXAO or is it just not available?

For reference, I’m using a GTX1070Ti

Only options are BTAO which was created by Eidos or HBAO+ which is NVidia's baby.

VXAO Is In The Game Under DX11 but it's currently not working. Wait for a patch.

Rise of the Tomb Raider featured VXAO in a post launch patch. I believe nvidia's VXAO is only supported under dx11 currently. Shadow of the Tomb Raider, unlike the previous game Rise, is built with dx12 in mind first so I bet VXAO was just less of a priority in the PC port. Plus I think Nixxes has their hands busy trying to implement ray tracing for the RTX gpus. Hopefully it'll be patched in the future under dx11 at the least. It's such a great technology! I wish more games used it.

even a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ child has enough sense to right click and search a simple term they dont know. it is amazing at the level of stupidity of some people when we have all the info in the world at our fingertips.

VXAO was dropped because it caused too many issues across the board, and is not suitable for DX12 api
