fps drop in towns

i'm running this game with gtx1080 and i7 8700 in very high fhd option

it runs fine in most gameplay (maybe 100fps?) but fps drops to 40~50 in huge towns..

is it normal?

Yes. Next-gen something something, only future cpus and gpus will be able to play the game at max settings.

What is on screen does not justify the performance in those areas.

I'm using i7 7700k, 1080, 16mb RAM. Playing highest setting at fHD. My fps is 80-100. No fps drops. Towns are fine.

The same. These towns don't justify the fps drops absolutely.

more demanding areas should demand more from your system. Ie, making it slower.
There could be more to draw in town? more light sources? physics, etc.
If by in town, you mean right at the start at night.. witll all those billions of NPCs and light sources?

Same here, since beginning, r5 1600, rx480 Win7-64 generally runs 60-70 on high settings@1080p but in towns it drops to 30-40 and stays that way until you leave Pititi, etc. I've seen Win10 on dx12 getting almost no difference in fps between in town and country.

Massive dips since Windows 1903! Devs please respond! Lost an average of 20 fps on across the board no matter where in game
