Easy
- Aim assist enabled
- Enemies have lower health and do less damage
- Ammunition boxes are plentiful
Normal
- Enemies have normal health and damage
- Ammunition boxes are rare
Thank you, but I already knew that. Point being auto-aim is off. The difference in combat is what....... maybe, 2 arrows, 3-4 rounds extra from the rifle or pistol. Minor case in point, she's not gonna run out of ammo. Take it to the next level (hard) and thats where TR is meant to be played anything less can be played with 1 eye closed and 3 broken fingers and still come out on top.
Ammunition still isn't really rare, though, and enemies don't have that much more health. I played my first time through on easy and was also annoyed by the auto-aim, but playing it through a second time on "One With the Jungle" and the combat isn't really much more difficult. The main place I see the difficulty expressed in this game is in not showing climbable surfaces or giving hints during puzzles.
It's entertainment, not work. Taking more shots to kill and making enemies more difficult are not the same thing. Smarter enemies who use cover and tactics like the player would makes enemies more difficult. The same t-shirt you wear on Easy will not stop bullets any more on hard, and a bullet to the face should be a game-ender on Legendary just like it is on Easy.
Game is not hard anyway . . .
If he want auto-aim, set on easy, if he dont want auto-aim, set to normal or hard the options are there and explained.
"But I want the hardest mode with auto-aim!!!"
"But I spend too much ammo without auto-aim!!!"
"But I want easy mode but without auto-aim!!!"
. . . git gud or accept how good/bad you are and how the game is?
You dont have to be the best or to beat everything (neither to finish the game) to enjoy it.
Games come with game design choices (or not) by the devs for a reason.
And 90% of the time, that reason is a lack of ability on the devs' part.
Why didn't Dead Rising 2 and beyond have Infinite Mode? Because Blue Castle-renamed-Capcom Vancouver couldn't do it.
Why doesn't SOTTR have a more customizable difficulty setup where you can turn on/off individual features? Because the devs did not have the programming skill to implement that.
Not everyone wants hunt for ammo, I was looking for an easy first time around but i don't want auto aim either.
Just play on the hardest mode. This game is a joke in terms of combat challenge, even on the hardest mode.
Come on, people. Even if you die on hard, you respawn right at the start of the area where you died...there's barely even a penalty for it. So averse to challenge that you can't even TRY it?
The keyboard and mouse do not auto-aim. You have control over what she does.
