Still haven't been able to play this. Using a switch pro controller. Configured it in Steam big picture, which works for like... everything i throw at it... but this game.

Yep, same here. Worked fine this morning. Came home and Steam updated, now my DS4 no longer works in this game. It works in the in-game Steam Big Picture Mode overlay, though.

XBox 360 Wired, not working at all, doesn't even recognize it, I play all other games just fine with this controller. Fix your crap, stop releasing untested games. Guess I'll buy/refund the game every 7 days until they fix this, since half the comments/news say they fixed and while others say it isn't fixed.

I've been trying to use a switch pro controller and it was not working. SotTR had an update a few days ago so I thought I'd give it another try, also wasn't working.

I got it to work after I poked around a bit. I went into the gamepad settings and enabled Steam Input. Give that a try.

It only works for me if I DON'T enable Steam input. And I still can't get gyro working. It all worked perfectly for me in RotTR. Everything here seems backwards.

Switch pro controller (wired) worked without much problems a few days ago. Suddenly the stick controls are completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and unplayable.
Love to pay 60 bucks for a drm riddled "AAA" game and have issues with such overly complex thing like controls...

hey just should remove stea mcontroller config and let windows drive it. all my games work fine with 360 wireless last tomb raider work perfect but this one
Funny guy. Windows drivers are the reason for the problems.
There is a statement from valve directly concerning the steam controller not working.
They implemented microsofts universal ♥♥♥♥ drivers insetad of xinput. They patched it in afterwards, but obviously not very well..

Go to controller settings on Steam, uncheck all options (this will disable any controllers registered under your Steam account). Then open game and go to options, gamepad; enable steam input: off. Now you have your X360 controller fully functional. You can give it a try with PS4 controllers also

If it were that simple for everyone, we wouldn't have such a long thread.

Okay people, found the solution.

You need to download this software:

XOutput [sourceforge.net]

Put it in the game directory, remap your controller then voilá.
