One with Jungle/Deadly Obsession

The only 2 achievements I have left are One with Jungle and Deadly Obsession. I only played the game once. I did not play the Plus mode. If I start a new game at deadly obsession difficulty can I start a Plus game or do I need to start a regular game to get these achievements?

I think it doesn't matter but it is easier if you use a New Game Plus for Deadly Obsession because you keep your equipment and skills from the previous run.
You also get new skills, weapons and cloths for starting a New Game Plus, the path (Serpent, Jaguar or Eagle) you take is free the other two paths can be unlocked in the skilltree, weapons / cloths can be bought from the trader in the first city.

A new game resets everything back to zero and assumes that you are playing the game for the first time.

New game + will ask you to use an existing save file which imports your unlocked skills, gear and weapon upgrades and unlocked outfits to be available immediately once you reach the first ever base camp. You can choose a higher difficulty here to make things easier.

As Shisk said above, NG+ also grants you 3 exclusive skills for free based on your chosen path but the remaining ones are unlockable with skill points and there are also weapons and outfits that are purchasable from the merchant in Kuwak Yaku.

With all due respect, I know that NG+ has buffs, but can I get the deadly obsession achievement via NG+. In the load menu to the right of the % completed of each save is the difficulty setting, except for the NG+ save file, which has NG+ instead of the difficulty setting. I don't want to play through an entire game just to find out Deadly Obsession in NG+ does NOT give the Deadly Obsession achievement.

Yes you can use NG+ to play on Deadly Obsession. I am already at 92% progress on that difficulty (at the point of no return). All the collectibles reset btw so if you want to have 100% completion even on NG+, you need to get them all over again.

I started a NG+ on Deadly Obsession and know I can PLAY on Deadly Obsession. Will I get the achievement upon completing the game? (I have all other achievements already.)

You should get it on NG+... just curious if you are going for 100% again

Maybe. I know I should build my character up for Deadly Obsession, although it is already built up. But I'll see as I go (or as she goes).
