Fact, your either too low or the wrong spot. Repositon and try again.
:/
REALLY not impressed with that one spot in an otherwise great game.
Oh plz don't feel special, your learning 2 new skills playing TR, missing grabs n free falling is the new norm now. I'm betting you, like me, don't like these new found skills.
Thing is, it was ONLY this one spot where such "newfound skills" even seems to exist. One place. It's a non-issue anywhere else in the game which otherwise controls just like Rise did. I see no practical difference apart from that one spot.
Since it seems to be the only place where I you have to screw with the camera mid-jump and/or glitch past the spot.
The 1st spot is this one and I have yet to figure out a work around.
The 2nd spot is the "grapple around a corner" on the lead up to the boss fight. In this sequence, Lara jumps side-ways and always misses the jump (and dies and back to a campfire). However if you quickly press jump, then W (to get Lara to face the correct way) then E to throw the axe.
I'm about to try this technique with this jump too, when I get back to it, after redoing this tomb 5 times yesterday.
Oh well.
Jump left and immediately press the W (to turn her body to face the wall)) and press E.
While using this combonation, I made the jump the first time.
For me the jump at that corner was not so bad. But the jump after that to the overhead grab was.
