Ending hints at Natla and India for next Tomb Raider
In the alternate ending, we see Lara back to her Croft Manor's office and talking to herself out loud about the adventures she had with Jonah... she says:

" I'm not sure what the future has in store, Jonah..
but whatever adventures on the horizon i can't wait to meet it "

Now at this point, the camera zooms in a letter on Lara's desk. It is sent from Natla.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

From

Jacqueline Natla
Scion Tower
Calcutta, India
700027

To

Lady Lara Croft
Croft Manor
142 Abbingdon Road
Guildford, Surrey, England
AL9 5NQ

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So she received a letter from Natla in Calcutta, India. A huge hint for next Tomb Raider setting?

Think about it. Setting for Shadow of Tomb Raider was already spoilered into the Rise of Tomb Raider ending. There were plenty of maps and pictures of the mexican archeological areas, including Cozumel.

Now if they follow the same process, next game will be set somewhere in India, and Natla as a main protagonist.

I don't believe we'll have a sequel. This one launched in a bad time window and probably won't sold well, especially with the lukewarm scores it received. As much as this is amusing to theorize where they'll take the series next, I think this is it. At least, for this story arc.

Who knows. Tomb Raider franchise saw new light since the time of Angel of Darkness. Even more if we take the last trilogy.

If i were them, i'll keep milking the franchise as much as i can. Still selling alot of copies.

This trilogy is pretty good, i dont mind other Tomb Raiders. EVen better if they use full open world stuff

this is the last game in laras origin story set of games, maybe the next game will be set in india but i wouldnt expect the next one anytime soon, they are most likely making the next set of tomb raider games very different from these combat style games, they might still have the native people hub, and then the ancient creatures but maybe not trinity, so more of a lara vs nature/natives style, and less just get to point b from a and explore to complete a puzzle to unlock the path to a path that has a group of alpha chimps that you have to be on your toes about while progressing through dense vegitation

there will be not a next tr. this game is the best in the trilogy but the toxic steam "community" votet down and hated it. also its a flop

Hindsight being 20/20, we now know the Natla ending was patched out to keep people from getting their hopes up of yet another remake of the original/Anniversary.

There will be no Natla. There will be no 2nd remake of the original (Anniversary was the 1st and so far only and hopefully only remake of that).

Move forward, not backwards.

I agree. We had the remake in 2007 we don't need to have one every decade or so.

We'll never be able to move forward if they keep going back to the old ones, and then some moron gets the bright idea to remake Angel of Darkness, Chronicles, Lara Croft International Secret Agent (going from Indiana Jones with t!ts to James Bond with t!ts), and a more realistic forklift sequence, and yet another "chase down the train on a motorcycle while being chased by gunmen on snomobiles in the snow through a forest" sequence..
