I was trying to see if could re-produce this. Bro I can't find where you are talking about. That camp fire is right in front of the cantina and it's been awhile since I went through there. Gate puzzle? I'll try to see if I can find it on YouTube.

It's the campfire immediately following this puzzle:

The swan dive spot is just past that campfire.

yea I found it. That campfire is called "Temple of Life".

SHE CRASHED!

Well I guess not entirely fixed yet. ffs lol

The new patch today brings the error within 5 seconds. unbelievable.

Edit: since I was in that pool I dove in to test this crash I actually had to switch to dx11 to get back out. That's thew last time I test for certain locations for crashing.

I'm starting to wonder if the game will ever be 100% stable on rtx cards.

New Nvidia drivers just released. Has anyone tested to see if this has been resolved? I get the crash an hour in while playing dx 12 4k hdr.

Same as you guys. At cenote. 4k dx12 hdr. New driver crashes in a couple of minutes. So incredibly frustrated.

I have the 2080Ti EVGA XC Ultra and I'm running stock clocks/settings with the graphics card and I'm getting this issue now. I didn't have this issue before when the game first came out and I put in the first 12 hours. I've been on vacation or sick or playing RDR2 for the last 4 weeks: first 3 weeks was out of town while the last week this PC was only used for work. The only thing that's changed since then is a Windows update: "2018-10 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4462919)". I'm using the same graphics driver as before, although I just updated to the Nov 8 nVidia driver hoping that would fix it but it didn't. I'm going to try rolling back the Windows update to see if that fixes it...
apudapus 11 NOV 2018 a las 22:28
After some testing, I have confirmed it is the KB4462919 update that is causing the crash.

This error is known.nvidia is trying to get thier head around it i recieve it as well. it happens mostly when i am about to jump into a pool of waier but i ahve seen it happen while rapelling down and swinging to ledges yea it is annoying eventually nvidia will squash it. i think this happens only on nvidia cards i could be wrong tho what i have noticed is if you run the game with msi afterburner and watch the memory that is being used it will attempt to access more vram than you actually have as it said 8039mb of ram was being used on my rtx 2080 at that point the game crashed

Same here.

I have an I7 8700k

16 GB RAM DDR4

I didn't manually overclock anything and I have everything updated to the latest version (W10, Nvidia drivers and this game).

Here are my PC specs :

I7 6700
Gigabyte RTX 2080 Windforce

The game is running fine and temps/usage look nominal :

I tried different builds of the game and I keep getting the error. Hopefully it is only a software issue and it gets fixed soon.

I get this crash often when i dive into water. I have a RTX2080 Ti.
This is the only issue left i have with the game and I just got the crash with the new version introducing the forge !

I can say to you all, this is not a problem of shadows of the tomb raider. Start rise if you has rise of the tomb raider and the game will crash in dx12 now. I´ve started rise for 15 mins. Benchmark the game with the internal benchmaring tool and it crashes, in the second test with the same error. This error has something to do how windows is adressing your memory. It is a memory issue and it is a problem since the october update of win 10. You can disable the virtualization technology from intel and can look if your system is running more stable.

It has something to do with installing drivers clean too, but not only. I think you will receive a blue screen of death to, if this issue crash the game to desktop.

PC is not anymore a gaming rig. This is why so many hackers and softwarepirates cause that the security must work on a higher level on the Basesystem and on gaming software :(
