[SPOILER] - How does the 7 stations of crucifiction puzzle make any sense?
Its the only thing i had to look up on-line.
I had the pamphlet - but how on earth are you supposed to summise those two stations to light up from the pamplet?

What is the logic here?

This confused me too, I also tried to work it out in order from the pamplet.

In the end I just did it by trial and error, and was surprised when it was all over with only 2 stations.

Yeah, I went in thinking, well if this is station 6 then the light needs to pass through station 6, right? Except it has to first go through one of the first three stations. It was weird.

Station 6 is basically divided into 2. Station 6 is Jesus being nailed to the cross, so you have to choose the 2 that are depicting that happening. The one where Jesus is being lifted up to the cross by the guards and then the one where the guards nail him to the cross. I thought that was rather obvious.

FragMac has it exactly right. I'm not even Christian and I understood the puzzle immediately.

Although I will say that finding stuff in the collection is a pain. They should checkmark/exclamation new items (not much of a stretch; they do this for inventory, outfits, weapons, and IIRC even skills acquired in passing), or maybe somehow highlight subsections that are relevant to the current area.

I too approached the puzzle from the start as well, and didn't clue in to needing to "skip ahead" in the pamphlet order to the current station. I felt stupid and smacked myself upside the head in punishment when I realized what I had done. It was a true "duh" moment. :-)

Same, felt like Homer Simpson banging my head on my desk, "DOH"!

The pamphlet has the seven stages. Now, the basic thing is that when we enter that chamber, stuff we did before already ticked of stations up and including "Jesus falls for the second time". Jonah remarks on that too. Thus only the stages after that even matter which narrows it down enough to choose the right ones.

This is the perfect answer. But unfortunatelly for me.. When I got the pamphlet, my inventory was already full (before third patch), so I couldn't see the right order... I had to do the hard way (trial and error).
First thing I did when they patched the inventory bug was to check the pamphlet and realize how easy would be if I had access to it at the time,

obvious for idiots who get immersed in stupidity.
If you think in a rational manner it is impossible to conclude this, as then the only logical conclusion is to light up from the beginning of the story to the end of it.
To depict a story of crucifiction in such an abstract way that you need to think of 2 actions related to some story in a game that puts you in a room, sorry but there is no correlation between the 3.
DrNewcenstein Jan 8, 2019 @ 6:19pm
Don't know if it was fixed in a patch, or if they expected you to "read the room" right to left (I think Hebrew reads right to left? Or maybe Squeenix, being Japanese, figured everyone else reads right to left?), but if you "read the room" left to right (which would be accurate for the European concept of Christianity being alleged in the story), then the correct scene on the left actually happens after the correct scene on the right.
I just used my knowledge of the real crucifixion and solved it very easily. No problem with it.

I guessed the 1st time. Nailed it. Then forgot the 2nd time and mixed rite to left.

My in game audio skipped a bunch due to me using survival instincts, and I wasn't sure what station I was on, and I couldn't find the pamphlet in my inventory. There was no sense to the puzzle. They really shouldn't let lara interupt the story dialogue if you accidentally hit the scan environment button.

I presumed Jonah was just talking rubbish on my first run through, so I didn't bother to listen to anything he was saying :steammocking:

This. I can't find the pamphlet. Where is it supposed to be?

EDIT: It's in the Miracle Mission section.

This puzzle is ♥♥♥♥. The sixth station shows Jesus being nailed to the cross but the diorama for that is on the WRONG side of the room. The last station is his emtombment again the diorama is on the wrong side of the room.

It only makes sense when both dioramas together show the sixth station.

Solving that puzzle has nothing to do with being Christian. I could solve puzzles about Greek gods and I don't believe in them.

Also, the stations are a catholic thing. Not everyone who is a Christian calls them that or even pays attention to the different stages. Catholics and Christianity are not one in the same, Catholics have a ton of different rituals/traditions that have nothing to do with the Bible other than the Catholic Church insisting it does and everyone else is confused as crap as to where or why they they say it is justified.

So, please don't act like that is common knowledge.
