The best thing you can do is to use a save slot or 2 slots,and start you NG+ game and save it to that slot, then start another NG+ and save it to a different save slot. Now all you need do is use that save to play NG+, bue save it to slot 4, leaving the other save as back up.
You follow what i just said cause I don't think it came out the way I wanted it to.
now I'm gonna go cry like a liberal snowflake. ^_^
What kept getting added in each subsequent NG+? Because, by definition and the way they've all been implemented, each + after the first isn't really a "PLUS" in my mind.
In Mass Effect 3 it carried over all achievements and weapons and outfits and you could use the NG+ saves as many times you like one after the other so to speak, NG+ unlocked once you had completed the game and yes the ending to it did suck big time but the game it self was great.
So,..
NG: play through story
NG+: play through story with all gear/abilites (basically) unlocked
NG++: nothing new really added
In the case of Shadow and the 3 outfits unlocked in NG+, it's more of a NG+2.1, because it's not NG++, it's just another NG+ with 3 extra outfits. Seems a bit overmuch for just 3 extra outfits though.
just 100% the first run and keep that file.
that way you won't need a NG++ because NG+ will be the best one from the start.
and
you'll be able to take advantage of all the 3 paths if you have enough skill points available.
although, I have to say, I played all the 3 paths and ... well, the outfits are ugly and the skill are useless.
again, the problem of this game is that you never really need any of the skills and advantages the game throws at you.
