Out of transient heap space allocating
Hello everyone. help solve the problem please.
He began to pass the DLC The Pillar and now constantly crashes to the desktop with an error. Drivers deleted, did not help. The system is installed recently. The game is installed on the SSD. I really hope that someone came across this and was able to somehow solve it.

Dry disabling DX12
and/or verify game files,
unplugging/replugging usb devices,
updating motherboard drivers,
especially the chipset and USB eXtensible Host Controller drivers,
audio drivers also,
and then there is that mediafoundation update/download for audio codecs (some games can hang or not show videos or play audio properly without it, MHW, Fortnite for example)
and if you already have it installed then related to it when installing custom codec packs and etc. then you can use Codec Tweak Tool - Win7DSFilterTweaker(not sure if it's win7 under win10) - Media Foundation and MS Codec Tweaks to uncheck or recheck apply and then uncheck and apply fixes also those bugs.

Mind about never installing driver updates from microsoft/windows update, outdated crap.
Third party programs that install drivers are equally as iffy, even if peeps state otherwise, I've seen plenty of problems when using any of those programs, when I was naive and young and liked updating everything I could in terms of driver version number.
So for years now I just get my drivers foremost from the hardware manufacturer support/download sites and secondly from the original software creator download sites.

If everything fails, then might be pretty specific issue with that dlc and your hardware/software combo, might get help then from the game tech support from their own website.

Why don't you list your PC spec's and maybe we can give a reason as to why it's crashing. Also did you check the performance tuning guide in the forum? More likely your answer is there.

My PC spec's:Ryzen 2600x, 16Gb Ram Kingston Fury Black 3000mhz, Motherboard gigabyte Aourus b450 pro, Nvidia Gtx 1060 6Gb by Palit SuperJetStream series.
And i search a reason of that problem, but nothing found. Hope we can solve it. Thanks.

I've got a different system except for the Ryzen 2600X, but 'Ive had the same error, and for me it seemed connected to having the side mission "Widow's Tears" (Investigate Sumaq's Murder Procedure) open, as the game started to crash when i started that mission.

I couldn't solve it as such, but I could advance that side mission between crashes, thanks to the game autosaving after each step, and after having finished it the problem seemed to have disappeared.

You should also send this to technical support along with your dxdiag file, as that error seems to be quite common regardless of system.

Just make sure to update your nvidia drivers, you can try using the custom option and choose clean install just for the sake of it, if you have customized something specifically for a game, then you know how to make a backup of it with nvidia inspector, and just load that after installing the driver.
You can try disabling paging file for the HDD/SSD where your game is located at, though mind setting it back to system managed, let at least the windows drive have paging file, I have my games and stuff on a different HDD so there I was not using paging file at that time, at some point I enabled it again for my gaming hdd.
Get more VRAM or lower texture quality.
The issue is from the game engine anyways, because of a weird memory leak with a specific combination of hardware and drivers, probably the newest hardware is most affected.

I myself have played through the game without any crash or errors, mostly played on my older hardware with GTX 970 and i7 3770K and later i7 8700K, don't remember if I used RTX 2070 to play this game, maybe. The game is pretty demanding anyways.
I try to prioritize that the vram wouldn't get so full that the game would suddenly start waiting for the vram content to switch aka stuttering when looking around or in realtime cutscenes.
And then get decent fps without too much quality loss.
(also I disable any integrated gpus on the mobo from bios by default, considering the shared resources and etc. problems that it can cause)

And I don't use custom drivers, plus secondary gpus will lower the main gpu to 8x speed instead of 16x, unless you got some beastly mobo.

You might wanna check with GPU-Z if your main gpu Bus Interface shows "PCIe x16 3.0 @ x16 1.1-3.0 (the 3.0 doesn't matter much, it's more of a compatibility thing, shouldn't impact performance, even though it changes depending what you're doing with the gpu at the moment)

Ughh this is so frustrating. It's still crashing same spot, here's what I changed:
- Clean reinstall of latest driver using GeForce
- Disabled DX12
- Set texture quality to Low/Low
- Removed my extra video card from MOBO just in case.

STILL crashing! :'(

BTW my GPU-Z reads: PCIe x16 2.0 @ x16 1.1

I'm using a wireless Xbox controller hooked up to an adapter through USB, I tried it without, using only keyboard and mouse... still crashed.

Just like Astral_Lord, my game is also installed on the SSD. And I gave pagefile to System control.

Okay I finally got through. All the conditions above remained the same except: I didn't shoot the laptop on the desk after retrieving the Shield of the Age Maker. I know this sounds superstitious, but I got through to the next sequence...

Page file disabled for the drive where the game is located was a suggestion by some peeps that helped them get through it, though for some peeps that didn't work.
System controlled is just the default option, not specific to the game, just mentioned that if you had it on disabled you could reenable it if you're done with the game or if it didn't help with the game.

This worked for me. I had the same issues and after reading your post I reloaded the game, didn't touch or damage the laptop in the room and the game worked perfectly. Good call.

Can confirm - DO NOT SHOOT THE LAPTOP!

For whatever reason this causes this bug. Very odd. I had this happen today.

So is that basically the only reason the game crashes for everyone?? I don't even remember that you had to shoot a laptop.

Had the same issue today when fighting after getting the shield, can confirm shooting the laptop was a bad move.
