Black Screen on Startup

Does anyone know how to get past the black screen of death this game seems to deal with? I've tried changing the resolution to everything and nothing seems to work

Okay, so I seem to have fixed it by installing this mod from the Nexus that removes the splash screen and intro video. Not sure if the intro video is bugged or something as I'm playing in 4k, but worth a try for others I suppose

I had a simple solution working for me - noticed the FPS going haywire during that couple of seconds the splash screen worked before the crash.
I have set the refresh rate (here in properties/launch options) of the game to match my screen's refresh rate and had it seems to solve it.
Not sure if you tried this. Maybe it will help.

Thanks for the reply! I did originally try this (I had to edit the config.ini directly as the game wouldn't launch to get to the settings menu lol) but it didn't help. It seems to be something about the splash screen intro video that was doing it. Modding that out like I updated above fixed it and I could go through the entire game never seeing the issue again ^_^
