Fool's Gold questline

So I couldn't find any details on the Fool's gold questline. Mine was glitching out a bit (It somehow resolved itself) and was trying to see if anyone else had an issue. But I found that no one had done a walkthrough and there was no other information available.

So, if anyone is looking for some advice on what to do and where to find the stuff, this probably isn't the best place to start, but, I will share what I know in the hopes you get to do this quest a little easier. This is by no means a walkthrough:

Most of the locations will have some sort of signage to the exterior.

90% of the locations were inside infested areas so expect a fight.

50% of them were behind hidden walls on the second floors, or in basements. most of the buildings had the same layout so it's rinsed and repeat.

Almost all of them had wylebeasts inside. Again, expect a fight.

I know this post is old, I just finished the Quest, at least I got all the treasures, but now it won't show as completed. Is this maybe the Glitch you had?

Hello! I suppose that to complete quest, you need to go back to the very first interior of this quest and take golden little box.

Just to confirm are all the icons in the case log indicating completion? It's been a few weeks now since I played, I think each item in the case log has a compass icon on them? They shouldn't be cleared until you pick up the item at each place. Regardless, you should be able to tell from the quest log if anything isn't complete. Most likely is that you missed an item from one location.
