O thanks. You probably spent a lot of time on this.
In saves with side quests, the main plot was not completed at all?
you are refering to your personal saves?
Current new version have bad optimization for Steam deck(even first video scene skipped, also video bags occurred during like old tv lose signal).
If studio have position like its ukrainian its required audio translation also, not only russian.
I'm still confused about this lol. I'm mostly just curious, since I've become a fan of this game, and I'm interested in the history and the different releases/configurations. Anytime I Google the side quests and DLC, all I find is old Reddit posts where people are confused lol. Especially re: how/when exactly some of the side quests get triggered. And the game Wiki is lacking as well. Anyway, I've been enjoying the version "Series X|S Deluxe Edition" on Xbox X, purchased back in October, hopefully that release is your version! I am going to buy it on GOG this week as well so that I have a PC copy. So not directly related to Steam but still PC-related, but asking here since the GOG forum isn't active like this forum is.
My confusion with what you wrote, so on PC, does that mean "Darling of Fortune" wasn't part of the original Standard Edition? Was that quest not on PC at all? Or was "Darling of Fortune" in MM instead, and "Silence Is Golden" was in Standard, meaning, on PC versions (compared to console version), the quests were switched? So confusing lol. But anyway, I guess all's well that ends well, in the end I guess all versions have all quests/DLC now, regardless of how they're packaged.
It's also a bit confusing when I read PC news articles etc that talk about "new" DLC/quests and since I'm playing on Xbox, at first I was thinking, you made brand new DLC! But there isn't any "new" content, it's just that some existing content is new for PC players because it wasn't available on PC before. So I have my fingers crossed for any future plans you might have for the world of Sinking City! Charles Reed is a great character and it would be great to have more adventures with him!
Final question: Is there any chance of releasing the Art Book and OST on GOG? I'd love to have the OST in lossless audio (such as WAV) if it's possible. I can buy on Steam if there's no other way, but really prefer GOG when possible.
Best wishes to you Frogwares!
This. I waited years to get this version, i gave up on waiting and bought the PS5 Deluxe version and now you decided to release the Deluxe
version here...
Wow. You both really have no clue what is going on...
2. Nacon was the publisher.
3. There was a dispute over who will get the money from Steam for the game.
4. As it happened, accorging to the contract, Nacon got the rights, with minor exceptions:
a. it couldn't get any content made after the split.
b. it couldn't get any updates to their version after the split.
5. During last couple of years, until beginning of this year, the game was in fact castrated and full of bugs early version. Other platforms, for which Nacon didn't have the rights to publish, had fully updated version with all DLCs.
6. As previously mentioned, rights went back to Frogwares, which promptly released updated version and all missing DLCs. But being a good company:
a. they also left older version for people who started the game and wanted to finish it.
b. they released whole set of saves for updated version, so people could jump right in, more or less in the spot they left it in old version of the game.
c. they gave to people having Necronomicon Edition all the rest of DLCs for free.
I hope it was informative.
I do. I know about the whole Nacon VS Frogwares dispute and the amount of people that were always trying to find the "definitive version" of the game here on Steam. Doesn't change what i said. I just don't come around here every week to check if the "definitive" version is available, since it's been, what, 2 or 3 years this game was released? I thought this would never happen. If i knew it would happen one day, i would've bought the game here, since it's cheaper than the PS5 version, I'm just voicing my frustration. I bought the game, anyway
