Because I found this a pill very hard to swallow, let me summarize for you:
How difficult is to make the savegames conversion? come on ...
The rest of the planet apply patches to their games and dont break the savegames.
What would be your opinion if another company apply a patch and tells you you have 2 months to finish the game or restart now?
and if it is a new engine compatibility between different engines is always a problem
but there must be some reason why they could not.
they walked back into a mess when they got the game back in there hands
there still trying to clean up the mess and everything
come next month there removing the old version they left it so old players could finish there runs
But anyway, even if there is a new one, the save games can be parsed and generate in the new format. Maybe some information could be complex to transfer for technical reasons, I give them that. But At least the chapter unlock and inventory.
Could you believe if your bank ask you to register your personal data again because they changed their software? I know I am giving a very extreme comparison,.
I am being petty, yes.
yes: ROI
Implementing that is taking time, hence money.
Hello.
Tell me, what do the letters in the names of the saves mean?
LORE01
MQ01-09
OW01-12
SQ01-02, SQ11
You provided a link to the saves, but did not explain how to find the one you need...
Also inside the archive there is also an archive "TSC Save Files.zip" is this a packaging error or are there other versions of the saves?
+1
That would be amazing. Plus, they're already selling a GOG key for this game.
1st being steam clouds overriding the new saves with whats backed up
2nd possible wrong save location if right wipe the old ones completely
steam cloud u would need to run the game, well the games running swap the save files
exit the game then have steam cloud replace the old with new ones you placed
kinda tricky but only real way to trick steam cloud into replacing files
You need to select the desired save and copy it to the game save folder.
There is just no explanation of which save comes from where. The developers did not provide any comments...
I get a lowlevel error, brand new install with verified files, playing new version.
The error message reads:
LowLevelFatalError [File:Unknown] [Line: 200] Unreal Engine is exiting due to D3D device being lost. (Error: 0x887A0006 - 'HUNG')
I did send an email in to support but wondering if anyone else is getting this and found a fix
id suggest making a thread asking that
since most who were on this one might be gone by now
personal threads usually work out better then using other threads not geared to what ur asking as you can setup the title and everything
might hopefully get help too
I am also having this problem - there's no key/guide for what the save files mean.
