Seems legit
4 years ago, Frogware were working on a licensed Call of Cthulhu game for Focus Home; for whatever reason (probably the game getting bogged down in Development Hell) the deal fell through & since it was the publisher who had the CoC license from Chaosium, this game had to have the logos filed off & Cyanide Studio were hired to make a licensed game instead (& some of the accounts & reviews of the Focus / Cyanide game -- I've not played it personally -- suggests it was somewhat rushed and all the good investigation / RPG content confined to the first few hours of gameplay).
"The Call of Cthulhu" is a short story by H.P. Lovecraft published in the 1920s which is now public domain just about everywhere (by expiry of term in most places, in the US owing to the copyright not having been validly renewed).
"Call of Cthulhu" without the definite article is a tabletop roleplaying game system published by Chaosium & the logo used for the Focus / Cyanide game (and the earlier Dark Corners of the Earth) is their trademark, used by the game publishers under license.
EDIT: I can't spell.
it like complaining about 2 star wars games that are coming and calling one of them is rip off of the other.
