REALLY annoying issue with aiming
So, I'm still enjoying most aspects of this game. But combat sucks for a variety of reasons.

The most profoundly annoying thing I've found, however, after finally fixing the stuttering issues during intense combat, is that sometimes Reed just won't aim when I hold down the right mouse button. Sometimes he'll aim right away, sometimes I need to tap multiple times... but once, when I was in the middle of a very critical bit of combat, he simply wouldn't aim at all until I clicked about three or four times.

Has anyone encountered this? Any suggested fixes?

I ran into a problem similar to this when I tried to run the game at the highest possible graphics resolution. Although this is a new game - and even if you have good hardware/software to run it - trying to play it at a very high resolution caused problems, only one of which was the aiming issue. I wound up playing at 1600x900 and most of the problems went away; 1920x1000 at the highest. Of course, I am talking about the most recent STEAM version. The original version that came out in March of last year ran well.

You bring up a good point on the version differences. I used that fix guide that includes the better exe, which definitely helped a lot with almost every other problem I was having. For some reason, it just didn't help with this one.

To deepen the mystery a little, I noticed that sometimes when I left click it doesn't register either, but I thought this was just because I wasn't close enough to whatever I was trying to examine. Firing a weapon never takes me more than one click, though.

Maybe I'll try lowering the resolution like you suggested and see if it helps. Thanks.
