Are DLCs necessary?
I really wanna get this game but I see that DLCs are missing, are they important or can I just get the main game? Thanks.

you can easily download dlcs and just put em in your game's folder, but if your internet speed is super slow, then yes, it will be easier to play basic game

I've played the DLCs...not real impressed. One of them about "the witch tree" was interesting and includes a challenging "monster." The one about "The Worshippers of the Necronomicon" was interesting as well, but nothing too impressive. The main game is the best experience, but the DLCs - if they are cheap - are worth playing.

Thanks, I'll just skip the DLC-s.

You actually might be skipping more than just DLC, It is possible that the new build is actually an older build of the game, meaning that it might has worse optimization and maybe bugs, yet I have no proof of this, it is possible that the only difference is just the file size:
The packages are 17Gb, this size corresponds to the versions created around summer 2020 when we switched to a new compressing method to reduce the game size for download purposes. Before this date the only available PC version – on the Epic Game Store – was around 30Gb in size.

Thanks for heads up but I'm just too impatient to play this game, been waiting for a while to play this but frogwares/nacon fiasco is going on for too long and I want it on Steam so I'll just go with current version.
I cant even find the dlc's are they only on epic ?
