Did the front first, and when I got to the back, I was supposed to install the dampeners and the leaf springs. I put in the shock absorbers no problem, and when I held the spring, game didn't offer the part snap place to drop the part. At first I thought I bought the wrong one, but after a bit of testing I saw that the other lift parts did not light up when I lifted it, so it was the right part.
I tried some more and at one point I saw a piece of the blue part snap place INSIDE the drivetrain space, and both left and right springs were almost on top of each other (almost centered, inside the transmission and drivetrain). I snapped them in there, thinking of the cms18 bug with modded vehicles, I left and reloaded the save game, and sure enough, the springs showed up in the right place.
So if you have the right part and don't get the blue snap place when you should, take a closer look at the car and see if you sport the blue shimmering space someplace else where it doesn't belong until it gets fixed. It is possible that the snap places return before placing the parts, will see if I can reproduce this bug.
