I can't have this achievement unlocked I have died to spikes and a guy with a gun multiple times failing saving Lance but nothing. And if i want to go back to the armor room, a text pop up saying saving Lance it's more important HELP!!

Hello! I can't get past the arrow (door that I used the fire axe). I tried to dogde to the left, tried to dogde to the right, but it doesn't respond. There is a specific way of avoiding the arrow? Thank you very much.
