Two of the endings are not correct

Spoilers, obviously, as it's about the endings for the game. This is intended as a comment for the developer, who's likely to keep an eye on this forum.

My review of The 111th Soul (https://steamcommunity.com/profiles/76561198042646749/recommended/749050) contains a few constructive comments, but I wanted to make sure one thing is brought to your attention and provide some more details: two of the endings for the game are incorrect!

When I selected "I prefer an eternity of encarceration..." (should be spelled "incarceration", by the way), the demon said "You have made the right choice. Welcome to our army." and I got the ending where a bunch of people/souls were on their knees worshipping me. I didn't get it.

When I selected "I accept the challenge" and got a question wrong, the demon said "Wrong answer. Enjoy your stay." I then found myself in a cage and the demon spoke, "Sooner or later you will change your mind etc."

That's when it became clear to me: I should have gotten the incarceration ending when I chose the option to be incarcerated, of course. I'm not sure what was supposed to happen in the 30 seconds before the autosave would load in the second scenario, but I obviously wasn't supposed to be in a cage and hear the demon say "Sooner or later you will change your mind etc."

Note: the other two possibilities are okay, i.e.:
- selecting "I accept the challenge" and getting all the questions right leads to the scene with the souls ascending, which is correct.
- selecting "I want to join your ranks and serve you" leads to the demon saying "You have made the right choice. Welcome to our army" and Richard getting revered by the people/souls on their knees, which is correct.

I've checked some YouTube movies and in the following movie you also see the player answering a question wrong (question about the chairs, at 16:44) and getting the incarceration ending: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GfHWM6Xi0sQ

Strangely enough, when this player selects "I prefer an eternity of encarceration" at 18:52, he does get to see the correct incarceration ending, so at least that part of the bug hasn't always existed, it seems: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FRPJTMs6hkk

Hi kris.aalst , im sorry for the late answer, i have been busy finishing my new game, thank you for pointing those useful tips, regarding the incarceration ending, i just tested and i got the correct incarceration ending, not sure why you weren't able to get it to be honest ,i will keep an eye if more players start report this issue, and hopefully i will launch a fix ;)

Hi Ricardo, just letting you know I got the exact same issue as the OP. I got one answer wrong and I got the incarceration ending (then when I tried again and correctly answered all questions I got the good ending with the souls). I then replayed it to see the other two endings, but each time I got the "welcome to my army" ending, even when I chose to be incarcerated instead. It's not so bad since at least I got to see all three endings, but there's definitely a bug that makes you get the wrong ending when you fail a question or when you select the incarceration ending.

I enjoyed the game BTW, it was short but sweet, with some decent scares. Nicely done! :)

Yep, still not working. This game needs a lot more polish especially to the scene-fades and the dialog.

I got the same issue too...choosing to be incarcerated resulted in the "worship" ending...
