what link level do you need for the special character event at the end?

Beryl says that I've gotten the right bonding event with Gaius and Machias(as well as Alfin, but how the hell am I gonna raise my link level with her so late in the game when she's not in my party?) but I need to befriend them more. So what I wanna know is how high do I need to get their link level?

December 30-If you are planning on getting the Bonding trophies for multiple characters, you have two chances now to set them. You'll be given the chance to play one match of Blade with a Class VII member (plus Sara) and to choose a support for the next Mech Battle. Both events are worth 800 Link Exp and they both make your choice partners available for 'Chosen Partner Event' at the beginning of the Finale if said characters also have Link Lv 6 (6000 EXP or higher) with Rean.

Alfin i think you have to do a second playthrough to have her not sure i dont think i ever did her's

There's no way to raise Alfin's link level outside of bonding events. (I mean, she technically is in Rean's party in the Intermission, but that would take hours of grinding to make a difference.)

I used a NG+ save game file, carrying over nothing, but seeing all of Alfin's bonding events got her onto the list. I don't know if you need to be on NG+ for her to be an option though.

It sounds like you didn't see all of her bonding events during the Act 2 rest days, because seeing all of those would be enough to qualify her (she and Towa require a lower level because they are available later). You could see if she's available as an option to play Blade with, but I'm also sure that will not be enough to get her over the top.

There are two other options to get additional people on the list, but you'll still need to get them to level 6.

The first way to get someone else on the list is to play Blade with them on the ship at that point in time. The second way is to have them as your partner in the Valimar battle awaiting you.

Did you not see their Bonding events in Bareahard? That's one requirement for the final event. If you didn't see their Bareahard bonding event, you'll need to play Blade or have them as your partner in the Mech battle.

for the Bareahard bonding events, I saw Fie, Machias, Gaius, and Towa because the guide said that I get character profile pages for those characters from the chapter's bonding events. the guide specifically said "Required for the final partner event" for Alfin so I did hers, and then for me it was a toss up between Sara and Emma(I chose Emma). So I do have the bonding event requirement for Machias and Gaius fulfilled, I'm just grinding out link exp for them until its high enough.

If Fie is level 6 and you saw her Bareahard event, then that should be enough to qualify her. I don't know why Beryl doesn't think so.

The guide is right that you need to see Alfin's Bareahard event, but that's because everyone's Bareahard event is one part of the requirement. However, the other part is a sufficient link level.

yes yes I know, I already have Fie, Towa and Emma up to the link level I need, but what link level do I need to get Machias and Gaius up to? I did their bonding events for that chapter because I wanted the character profile pages I got for it, not realizing I didn't have enough link level for them. I also need to get Alfin up to the proper link level if I can somehow do that but I can't grind out link level for her if she's not in my party.

You already were told the answer: Level 6, the same as anyone else in Class VII.

You cannot grind points for Alfin or Towa. You need to see all of their Bonding Events to get them to qualify. I know of an LP which showed Alfin's event.

yes, and I told you, I'm not even at 6 link level with Emma and she's qualified. Her, Towa and Fie all don't need more link level. Don't know what my link level is with Towa since she's not listed under the link menu, but Emma's at roughly 5 and a half.

I'm actually playing it on 1.4, because on GOG, achievements don't activate with 1.4.1(doesn't seem that 1.4.2 exists on GOG)

The only difference between 1.4.1 and 1.4.2 is the game icon from what I've been told.
