viewing a characters events here is one of the requirements to see a special event with them at the end of the game

You are not " supposed" to see the final bonding event of someone particular.
Its similar to the dance bonding event in the first game. Some extra time/scene with a person of your choice.

Just make sure to see the bonding event of the person you want in the current bonding events to meet the requirement. (example : you want to see the final bonding event of Laura, make sure you see her bonding event right now as well) . For Class VII members you also need to have link level at 6 I think.

As has been said, you don't need to pick anyone in particular, but it's not difficult to miss the fact that Falcom nudges pretty hard in the direction of Alisa. Her relationship with Rean is treated as a step or two closer in intimacy and commitment than that of anyone else - up until Cold Steel 4.

XSeed actually did something very special with Alisa's December 26 bonding event.

Yeah Alisa is pushed harder than the rest, and also She is the only one who gets a kiss in CS2 and CS3.

...whichever one you most want to be Rean's girlfriend ... even though the game doesn't actually respect your choice at all for the most part, other than one brief scene wherein it pretends to do so for that scene only ... and even that scene is totally ruined and made non-romantic by completely inappropriate & incongruently-placed whining about Crow.
