"ToCS2 has stopped working" (6-7 hour mark spoilers)

Right after the scene where Rean and the team (along with Captain Claire) returned to Ymir and visited Rean's father, the story skipped to 12.4, zoomed into the Scwharzer's mansion, and suddenly the game crashes.

And for a split second, the following error message appears:
"ToCS2 has stopped working"
Desktop screenshot generation disabled; skipping.
Creating crash dumpp file...

I've tweaked the configuration settings, updated my drivers, etc., but the error persists. Anyone else facing the same issue?

Yup I got exactly the same. Tried 3 times, crashed every time.

do you have anythign equiped. There is a crash in the hot tub if you had that mishy attachment on.

For me, no, I don't have any costume or whatever.

Equipped, as in accessories and costumes? I've removed them as advised by a few comments here. Still crashed with the same error message. And there were no crashes in the hot spring scene at the beginning of the game, only this part.

when the game crashed i was talking to one of my teammates

I just encoutered the same issue here where the game crashed as the camera moves in towards the masion after the date progresses to 12.4. After trying multiple possible solutions, i got the game to not crash by entering Big Picture Mode for steam (button in the top right) and launching the game directly from there. Im not sure if that will fix it for you guys, but i should mention that i tried messing around with the graphical setting of the game and that did NOT resolve it for me. Best of luck!

I had the same issue. I restarted my laptop and it didnt fix it, but I just kept trying and it just worked on the 3rd try when I didnt use turbo mode at all in that cutscene. Maybe that helped? At least its worked for me.

i have encountered this as well, but none of the suggestions have worked. it is weird as I have tried to get past this error with restarting, updating, and changing the game's launch setup with nothing working. I even tried the steam big window launch and that did nothing to change.

Same for me. I'm trying for 6 hours in a row, tried what people suggested here (big picture/restarting computer) and also updated computer, tried to change graphic settings, tried to verify game files etc but nothing worked. I want to cry.

I get 100% crashes from the foot spa starting from free day 2, and now, when you come back to ymir after picking up Jusis, it 100% crashes and now i can no longer play the game. I would have to restart from the very start of the game and hope it doesn't happen again. Is this a bug well known already and being worked on? It may be because i have a dlc costume on, but i can't take it off to check because i saved at a point of no return.
