I rushed through the first act unlocking everyone to get most of the character portraits. Many UI elements are complete. Unfortunately, it breaks my heart to say that this texture does not work:

The result ends up like this:

Other than that most stuff can be done. The same textures have issues as the first game, but there isn't much I can do about that (at least for now, maybe forever). I'm going to be starting over since I didn't really get to enjoy the game, so it may be a little while before another update.
I also may eventually unify the packs into a single pack since they share a lot of assets. That's all for now, enjoy!

am i doing it right?? im sorry, im new into modding
Mostly UI stuff. Menus, character portraits. There are some misc things here and there, like most of the original Class VII have their eyes redone.
There are some problems with some textures not being able to be redone without corruption (like he mentioned in the OP) or just straight up crashing (just like the first game). I know a lot of the icons and text in combat can't be retextured. I'm not sure if it's a limitation of the game itself, special K, or a combination of both.
It's a pity that some textures become corrupted when they are replaced. I kinda expected that to be fixed in this game after Durante was aware sice Cold Steel 1. But maybe the issue is very hard to fix even with access to (all?) the game code.
