Best OP/ED song of the trails series

The best song is still Silver Will, Golden Wings hands down. The theme is even featured in CS3.


None of the Cold Steel songs are even close. They are all pretty generic and forgetable J-pop songs compare to the old classic, and you don't hear those theme outside of the opening. That being said, CS1's OP song is better than CS2. CS3's OP song is also one of the pretty cool battle theme.

Just like op my favorite opening is SWGW, as if i wasn't hyped enough with fc's ending i had to watch this opening 6 month before SC's release.
The best ending IMO is FC's ending, Hoshi no Arika. I don't know if it's the best song among all the trails series, but the song ( and the photo too, just look at Cassius looking at the picture of his wife) just fit so perfectly well.

Yep 3rd's OP and ED are also classic, still the original version Silver Will Golden Wings is a cut above the rest

I don't feel anything with that song because of the terrible cliffhanger ending, literally "Bang" credit rolls, yep the ending ends with a "Bang" sound. By the way, someone can be spoiled by just looking at the picture of the video you posted lol.


The 2 openings however are better, the opening song is one of the better boss battle theme. The other opening uses the epic BGM of the final dungeon, it is probably one of the most epic BGM in Sen 3.

There is no battle BGM for the final dungeon, so the music never get interrupt, I basically listen to the epic BGM non-stop for a few hours, it never gets boring.

These two songs are definately the best of the series, probably some of the best songs in the history of JRPG. I really like Falcom remix the songs into game BGM so they are really memorable. SWGW is probably my fav song in JRPG simply because of that epic boss battle remix in the end of CS2.

Most games company outsource the production of Opening and Ending animation and songs to other company, but Falcom keep most of the production in house, so the game can use a lot of the remix of the songs, and the themes are a lot more memorable as a result. I wish more game company can do that.

Another one of the most epic theme from CS3, it plays everytime when Rean calls Valimar, gets me hyped for Mech battle everytime. It's even better than the DK theme in CS2.

The main menu theme from CS3, very hopeful and relaxing, probably the most beautiful main menu theme out of the 3 Cold Steel games, it's a sharp contrast from the dark ending CS3
