Zero no Kiseki Fishing Guide/ Cat Items

First off before anyone asks , no we still haven't gotten Zero no Kiseki localized by Xseed and so far no news from them but we do have that fan translation.

Yes there IS a japanese guide for it but that is in japanese and google translate only does so much.

The purpose of this mini guide (its not something professional) , is to help people that might have problems with finding certain fishes in Zero no Kiseki like I did , and to show my love for this series.

Like I said its not perfect and doesn't have all of the locations for every fish but it should be enough to get all of them.

And yes , this guide is for the current fan translation since its the version we have. The translation shouldn't be TOO different if Xseed ever get to do this game since they are just fish and location names.

This guide also covers the Cat items and if you are wondering what I am talking about. Well the Special Squad Section has a cat that sticks around at the rooftop. You can feed the cat once every chapter and depending on the food that you give it , it will give you something back in return. You can give it Cat Food for example. (unless you are doing new game plus this is the only food that you can give it during prologue , you get it by failing the cooking of a recepy).

2: Cat items.

Note: The ??? means that I haven't found what that item is. It would be appreciated if you could tell me. I will fill these in due time but for now this is what we have.

I might add in where to get all the rods and which rods but they are kind of linear in how you get them (well more like where) , so I might fill that in later.

One last thing , I am not used to making guides on steam (just now learned there is a section for it) ,so if you want to make a better one , you can use the stuff here no questions asked.

So, both Rockeater and Tiger Rockfish can be caught in Armorica Village, but very likely not at the Mainz Mountain Path.

No need dude. Its not like this is a perfect guide. Hell it ain't even really a guide and I am thinking of correcting that before the geofront project is done. If someone wants to improve and make it a definitive guide be my guest. This was basically me using my fishing book in my latest file as a guide. It could be better but for the most part it does function and show you what gets you what. I am thinking of making one for Ao no Kiseki too but in that game the only thing you need to know about fishing is getting access to gold salmon early. Since that fish is the best source of money, gold sepith and EP Cut 3.

Yeah, I intentionally did not mention the ones from michelam since in Zero, its a one time area. Meanwhile every other fishing spot here can be accessed throught the game.

In Ao, if I do one for that (I wanna make a proper guide for that one), I will include Michelam areas. Then again the best fish in Ao is Gold Salmon so just making a guide about catching that guy is enough I think.

For those who don't know, you can start catching this guy as early as chapter 2 (the chapter where fishing stuff starts) and he is amazing. You need to go around a little (which I love since it rewards exploration, f you CS) but the reward is well worth it. It has like 90% appear rate in the spot you catch it. The bait it uses is Dumbpling DX which you can buy for 100 Mira. It sells for like 600 something mira per fish. It can give you 10-20-60 gold sepith OR an EP CUT 3. I just buy like 99 Dumpling DX, go and catch like 99 of these. At the end I get like 8 Ep Cut 3, 2000 something gold sepith and around 90 gold salmons which I can sell for like 50000 something mira. Not to mention you won't need gold sepith that much anymore since you got all the EP Cut 3 that you are gonna need meaning you can sell those gold sepiths as well. And they go for a high amount.

Got the first seventeen fishes. The next two fishes are listed at Geofront-B Block. But I kept running around the Residential district but i can't find the ripple spot anywhere at the water area.

Was there a time gate i'm unaware of or am i searching the wrong place?

I don't remember exactly which one it was but you had a mission there once for exterminating a monster during the intermission chapter. You should be able to go there whenever. Electric Eel should be there. Queen scissors you can wait for the ancient battlefield if you want.

During Chapter 3, it seems there are periods of time where Coppe will be in the kitchen instead, where he won't accept fish. This happened to me after the tourist quest on day 4. I wanted to wait until I got the newer fishes, but it looks like I may have screwed myself over unless he comes back on day 5.

During rainy days the cat stays indoors. You have no idea how much it dampers my mood :D. I guess it is fitting though considering it is raining.

Turns out Coppe does return to the roof at the start of day 5. I'm guessing Coppe is always unfeedable when an end-of-day quest is active, but is available during "free time."
