The Legend of Heroes: Trails of Cold Steel II

Does enemy Panzer Soldat forget about their reactive armor?
Just curious. Since Scarlet showed it back in CS1, I have never seen it being used again in CS2.

I'm not sure how many Spiegels were made or used in the East during the Civil War, but even if they were used against the Reformist Faction I think they could likey manage to deal with it as long as they don't use regular soldiers. The Reactive Armor was effective vs Class VII in CS I because it was meant to be used for defense against tanks. And while the Reformists do use tanks, I don't know if the reactive armor is simply there to completely protect it from tank shots (some of the Soldats were dodging tank shots during the cutscene where they appear towards the end of CS I) or if it simply boosts its defenses and isn't guaranteed to make them impenetrable.

Though even if it did make them resistant to tank shots, I'm sure the armies could try to employ different strategies, since it is implied that Xeno and Leonidas may have ways to fight off Valimar and since characters like Principle Vandyck can cut a tank in two!

That's not a plot hole.

I don't necessarily think this is a plot hole. The reactive armor could just be what makes the soldats "immune" to smaller/weaker attacks in a way. If you go this route, then it makes sense as to why battles involving soldats requires other huge machinery (i.e. tanks) or immensely strong people (i.e. McBurn) in order to effectively damage them.

Yeah makes sense. The soldats would basically be overpowered if they can eventually be immune to everything lol.

The problem is that even non-reactve armor Soldat can take down a tank in an instant. So this is a plothole.

Falcom's CEO said Ordine's fate is going to be adressed in sequel

you don't need armor to whack a tank

I'm not sure what you mean by this... but soldats taking down armored tanks are attributed to their mobility and strategic advantages (i.e. terrain). Having reactive armor merely mitigates damage from regular gunfire, but not from tank shells. This is shown when you first arrive at the Nord Highlands where you see those more mobile, armored cars falling back; unable to damage the soldats with their machine guns. Zechs knows this, hence why he baits out the soldats to walk into the tanks' line of fire where they can damage the soldats.

Also assuming the reacctive armor in some soldats works the same way as real world one it can be penetrated by landing multiple hits to same location and overwhelming force like a hit from mech's blade would likely not be affected by it

You are one of the most obnoxious people I have ever encountered on the Steam discussion forums. 90% of what you produce is toxic and people like you make me wish there was a way to completely ignore posts made by certain people.

I am too lazy for that kind of effort.
why do you even post here?
you don't own any of the games from the series according to your steam so why do you spend so much time just to trash a game you havent played?

I get the feeling he's just trolling us most of the time. If there was active moderation on these forums, I'd report it, but oh well.

Making a lot of assumptions here.

Moderation does happen, it's mostly a matter of getting the mod's attention. XSEED is a small company and doesn't have the manpower to be constantly on the watch.

@Tero, perhaps edit that quote of yours where you quoted the line that was especially toxic?
wyrdwad Mar 2, 2018 @ 12:25pm
Might be good for anyone who quoted the major spoiler from Mangekyo's first response to edit spoiler tags into their posts, too. For those who don't know, spoiler tags are easy: just put (spoiler) before the text you want to hide, and (/spoiler) after, replacing the parentheses with [ ] brackets. It should look like this when done successfully, requiring users to hover over the hidden text to reveal it.
