BUG: Cannot assign L1/R1 Buttons on xbox 360 controller
Name says it all really. Standard wired windows 360 controller, works flawlessly with other games - but for some reason, Indivisible won't recognise the L1/R1 inputs from my controller, therefore I cannot assign them, therefore I cannot progress past the button assignment screen at the beginning. Please help!

I'm using a dualshock2 configured with Steam's controller options which usually also makes it work with every game like a 360 controller and I'm getting the same issue, plus more buttons. As far as I can tell, I am not able to assign:
- L1/L2/R1/R2
- Analog stick clicks (L3/R3)
- Start and select (Though start is automatically recognized as pause when you get to the game).

Okay, questions and a workaround...

Workaround:
- You can assign any unrecognized button to a keyboard key, just to get yourself past button config. Just press a key instead.

Helpful question:
- Does your X360 pad L1/R1 work with the regular Indivisible Prototype? (here: http://store.steampowered.com/app/421830/Indivisible_Prototype_Demo/ ) If they do, that will very much help me narrow down the problem.

Followup question:
- Is the 360 controller the first controller? (i.e. is the player-number light on it in the upper-left quadrant, or not.)

Similar issue here. I cannot assign L1, R1, start or select although I can assign R2 and L2.

Additionally it is recognising my Dualshock 4 as "XBox360 controller"

No issues assigning buttons in the older prototype.

Hi guys. Yup, my controller is #1, and yes, my controller worked perfectly in the prototype build.

Thank you! That's very useful info, I'll see what I can figure out!

Hey Mike. I tried it on the prototype beta demo and it works fine there. I can assign every single button on my controller, including L3/R3.

My Rock Candy Xbox 360 pad works just fine, so if you haven't fixed it yet then it must not be universal?
So I had this issue while using Steam's controller support and noticed that the default profile was all mouse and keyboard stuff. When I changed it to the controller template everything worked.

So maybe that?

The issue is an user configuration error and not the game's fault :P I stumbled upon this exact same problem the first time I ran the preview. Simply go to the Steam overlay (big picture mode)while running the game and select "Controller Configuration". Make sure you select a "Gamepad" layout (also called "Template"), and not a Mouse+Key config for your pad.

The issue arises because, by default, Steam uses your pad to emulate a Mouse+Keyboard, and under that setting, it's not able to reproduce a gamepad shoulder button (keyboards don't have those :P).

Yeah can confirm that dissabling "Big Picture Mode" controler support fixed the issue for me.

Ah, that fixed it indeed. Thanks Aerthel.

Yup, setting the steam controller configuration for the game to a gamepad setting (as apposed to using my default setting for desktop) worked perfectly. just completed my first run though - this was worth backing!!!!

Hi all, as for myself, I couldn't assign the trigger buttons of my Xbox 360 controller (LT and RT).
That's all. Bye!
