Valve Index Controllers?

Is there a default button mapping for valve index controllers?
I couldn't find it mentioned in the game or wiki, but the steam page says it's supporting index.

Like what's the action button for pro locomotion?

I can check later, but be aware Valve slapped Index icon on all games supporting Vive.

At the minute it not good with index controllers, grabbing and dropping is grab and release to hold and grab and release to drop plus turning with right thumb stick is hit and miss even in the menu.

Index compatibility is horrible for the moment. Still waiting for a true support...

I hope they fix that for the sake of the Index people, but they have a much higher windows mixed reality playerbase, all of steam has, and they still need to fix the pro locomotion on that.

Dammit. I literally wanted to get back into this game and I really want to play with the Index controllers as they are my go to controllers.

I haven't played this since august... has it gotten any better or?

But how do you activate the Index controllers in the game? As I have tried 2 sets of knuckles and the game wont recognize them.

My index controllers work ok in stand out, it feels wonky and sluggish but steam and the game have no problem recognizing the controllers. You shouldn't have to 'activate' them in the game. Maybe i'm misunderstanding you, or maybe you're not describing the problem correctly. Dont the controllers have to be on and working in order to run the game in steam vr? I dont get it ???? did you turn them on ? lol

No you understood me. I started the game with ONE pair of knuckles - they did NOT register with the game. The hands where stuck on the floor. My controllers where not seen IN the game.

So I booted up the other pair after I deactivated the first pair. Still did not want to see them in-game.

So I might try this again upcoming week to see if they work.

I thought the controller where not supported at all and you would have to map buttons or whatever or activate them through other software...

But thanks for getting back to me. Will post a message here if I can fix it.
