i haven't watched the anime will this game be a okay to play still?
will it fill all the gaps or will or be missing a lot of lore and story if i just play this game ?
and where does this game stop Anime wise (as in which arc does it finish on)

I personally recommend you watch the anime, it's 3 seasons, but it lasts 20 minutes each episode.
the story mode of the game "begins" in the arc of season 3. very rare or lazy of the developers.

it begins mid season 2, roughly episode 15 to roughly season 3 episode 16

To correct Flame Haze, the game begins in the middle of season 2. It's clear that this was done so that the characters would make sense for the timeline. For example, it wouldn't make sense to have an Izuku that can use full cowling prior to his meeting with Gran Torino. And it wouldn't make sense for Todoroki to use his left side (fire) prior to the sports festival.
