Character Custom

So even after I load my preset of selected cosmetics, I close and check back on it just to see it's back to default.. Any ideas?

That 4x2 grid near the top left of the customization screen, click the 3 bars at the bottom right of that. It'll ask you to save a preset. After that, when you're selecting your character before you fight, before you actually select them, you need to press a button (Middle mouse for PC) to go the preset selection screen to choose which outfit you want to wear.
