• There were also reports that this error has been due to AntiVirus incompatibilities, namely, Avast Behavior Shield or Avast. Both of these software detects a false positive and prevents the game from executing properly. Depending on your AntiVirus software version, you can fix this problem by adding the game to the Trusted Process list under their firewall settings. You can also try turning AntiVirus software off in the meantime, and then launching the game again, see if it makes a difference.
