Knowing which detector to use.

Is there a way to tell which detector we need to take on our trip for each quest? I had to go back and change detectors but then had to spend travel cost again. This may be a PITA when we have all the detectors.

From what I can tell, when you highlight a map it gives your percentages of treasures and depth information. That's whay I go by depending on the quest. Trash is always low leve, treasure is med or more etc. That's the best I've been able to figure out.

I've been back to Gettysberg 3 times twice with the starter detector which does find musket balls and once with the medium detector which did not find musket balls. For the quest I have to find a "Good Condition" musket ball. 2 times back comlpete criss crossed coverage, mapp shows no empty spaces and I have yet to find the proper condition musket ball.

Makes saving up money kinda hard lol

Hope this will help you: considering how non-legendary items are being randomized upon entering a location, there is a chance that even a rather common item like a musket bullet just hasn't been randomized. Entering the map again and do another search will like yield results.

Yea that's fine and all but it cost $150 dollars each time. I am now at $450 spent on travel and yet to find the quest item.

You dont need 2 do side quests. Just try it later when you fell like it.
