Online Multiplayer Workaround: Use Parsec
Download Parsec and play along your friends hosting the game remotely for them :) works like a charm with good internet, this is an example:

Agreed! Loved playing this earlier over Parsec. Will definitely be picking it up for local play too.

We really appreciate y'all getting the word out about Parsec! We've seen it work really wonderfully for folks who want to play Joggernauts with remote friends online.

Me and my friends are missing so much fun without online MP, that we can't just wait for the J2 to come with online MP.

Currently I can only play it with my children, but they are only 8-9 y/o, so it's hard for them to actually pull correct sequences of changes.

Looking forward either for J2, or my children to grow up, lol!

Have you tried Parsec? I bought Joggernauts on the strength of my experience playing it through Parsec on an American's computer when I live in the UK (some French chaps even joined us). Parsec is a seriously good option for all those local multiplayer games that don't have an online component (of which there are many).

It has its limitations but if your friends are geographically on the same continent then it can be just like playing in the same room together. I even managed to play some Human Fall Flat by connecting to a friend's computer in Norway so the two of us played split-screen while my other friend in the UK connected to us online using his own copy. A fun night was had by all!
